Tolerances & Specifications
Our products are manufactured in a facility that produce the highest quality LDPE packaging in the industry. We take pride in our consistency and quality — problems with finished products are rare. Each product follows specific tolerance guidelines to ensure dimensional accuracy and performance. Minor variations are normal and acceptable within the following limits.

Gauge Tolerance
All rolls of film, boxes of bags, and other LDPE products are made to maintain a target gauge tolerance of ±10%. Weights listed on work orders correspond to this range.

Flat Poly Bags
Flat bag measurements represent the inside dimensions of bags under 12 inches in length. For bags 12 inches or longer, measurements include the seal area at the bottom. Width is measured from left to right across the opening.
Width Tolerances:
Under 4 inches: +1/4 inch / -1/4 inch
4 inches up to 15 inches: +1/4 inch / -1/4 inch
15 inches up to 30 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/4 inch
30 inches up to 60 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/2 inch
60 inches and above: +1 inch / -1/2 inch
Length Tolerances:
2 inches to <12 inches: +1/4 inch / -1/4 inch
12 inches to <24 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/4 inch
24 inches to <60 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/2 inch
60 inches and above: +1 inch / -1/2 inch

Gusseted Poly Bags
Side-gusseted bag measurements require adding the first two dimensions together to determine total width. All other tolerances are the same as flat poly bags.

Poly Tubing
Poly tubing is sold by flat width. The tolerances allowed are the same as the width tolerances on flat bags. Since tubing is constructed like a bag without a sealed bottom, it is sold on rolls and must be cut or sealed per length requirement.

Ice Bags
Width Tolerances:
4 inches up to 15 inches: +1/4 inch / -1/4 inch
15 inches up to 30 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/4 inch
Length Tolerances:
2 inches to <12 inches: +1/4 inch / -1/4 inch
12 inches to <24 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/4 inch
24 inches to <60 inches: +1/2 inch / -1/2 inch
60 inches and above: +1 inch / -1/2 inch

Gauge / Thickness
The gauge of our products is measured in thousandths of an inch (mil). For example, 2 mil equals two-thousandths of an inch. We manufacture our film to an average tolerance of ±10% of the described thickness.
